Ziggurat 2 focuses on fast paced combat and constant movement, in which mistakes are paid dearly. Keep an eye on elemental resistances and vulnerabilities to maximize your efficiency, and earn experience to level up and learn useful perks that will help you reach the end of the dungeon in one piece. Face hordes of enemies and fearsome Guardians in epic and dynamic combats. Will you be up to the task? Evil lurks in the depthsĪs a member of the most powerful magic order, your task is to protect humanity from the forces of evil. It pretty obvious that the new weapon is stronger.Ziggurat is back, and now it's even better! Use powerful weapons and spells to break through hordes of enemies and explore labyrinthine dungeons in this hectic roguelite FPS, while you improve your skills and discover new equipment. If you get a weapon with double the DPS than your current one you don't need any calculations or math. DPS is great, it tells the player at a glance which weapon should overall do more damage. There are weapons with higher stats that still feel weaker. And the stats also don't really matter much. I don't want to spend my time to compare stats. We had damage, firerate and other more detailed stats in earlier versions. Some kind of secrets would be really nice though, it's definitely missing. I don't think cracks in the walls like in z1 would be good. Part of me feels though that the first game did some things better than this, but atleast this one is still getting attention from the devs, so that's a bonus. I have not tried the hardest difficulty, but to have fun in the master difficulty, I absolutely had to max out my damage for all things, except wand.Īll those things considered, I am still enjoying the game for the most part. Lastly, there are definitely times where the enemies feel incredibly bullet spongy, especially if you decided to not max your damage through the point system the moment you are able to. I know the locked room is kind of a substitute for that in a way but, still. I also kinda miss the secret rooms from the first game. There are a few but they seem a bit rare.Īnother thing I dislike is how you can only see the dps of the weapon, but cannot see the damage per shot of the weapons. Along with that, it just seems there aren't that many opportunities to make the wands stronger via perks or such. It's much more viable to instead ignore the wand entirely and allocate all the points to the other weapons. Even when the wands are fully upgraded, they really don't feel that effective. What I learned was that putting points into the wand skills was a mistake. The difficulty can feel a bit over the place, master difficulty feels pretty damn hard or normal, depending on how you allocate your points. generic though, I preferred the sort of "realistic" portraits of the first game. It's satisfying to kill the enemies and the graphics are pretty damn good in general.
